What are the types of sliding door tracks will you choose if you install sliding door tracks

How to install the sliding door track? What are the steps?

1. The size of the tracking box on the upper part of the sliding door must be 12 cm high and 9 cm wide. Like a curtain box, a track is installed in the tracking box, and the sliding door can be hung on the track.

2. The size of a normal door is about 80 cm×200 cm. With this structure, the door is relatively stable and beautiful.

3. Be cautious when using hanging sliding doors. Because the swing amplitude is too large when pushing and pulling, the sliding door is easy to be deformed after a long time, and the door cannot be opened after the deformation, which means that it cannot be repaired and cannot be used.

4. When installing the sliding door track, fix the upper track, use a gravity cone to hang 3 points on the two ends and midpoint of the upper track, draw a 3.3-point plane on the ground with an oil pen, install the upper track, and then Place a sledgehammer on the ground at the center point of the upper rail, and place vertical lines on both ends of the rail. The lower rail is fixed at these 3 points to ensure that the upper and lower rails are completely parallel, and the sliding door is in the best state.

In addition to the security door and bedroom door, kitchen door, bathroom door, and balcony door, as well as wardrobe door, cloakroom door, closet door, partition door, and so on.

Today I will tell you about the sliding doors commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms, balconies, and cloakrooms.

Sliding doors have been popular for many years. The combination of black frame and transparent glass, combined with a wider doorway is a popular style in recent years.

Especially in the kitchen, it does not affect the lighting and creates a semi-open space without taking up space, which is very suitable.

A sliding door means a door that can be pushed and pulled. According to the position of the track, it is divided into a ground rail and a hanging rail.

Ground rail

The floor rail is the common one, with a rail on the top and a rail under the floor, and a hidden wheel is installed under the door for sliding. Generally equipped with door frames, the fit is relatively high after installation, tight and stable.

However, there are also many people who dislike the ugly door frame and recommend using a narrower door frame.

The track can be installed directly on the ground, or it can be slotted into the ground. The direct installation will protrude from the ground and easily trip over people. Although the in-line installation is troublesome and costly, it is safer. If installed directly, the height of the ground rail should not exceed 5mm.

The major disadvantage of the floor track is that it is difficult to clean, especially the built-in type.

Hanging track

There is also a hanging track door on the track, also called a hanging sliding door. The track is installed above the door hole. The biggest advantage is that there is no ground track, hanging on the ground, no sanitary corners, and no tripping over people.

The bearing of the hanging rail door rests on the upper rail. It is not recommended to install it on a light wall. The door will sink after a long time. The installation is also a bit technical, if the track is not installed, the door will tilt and slide, or shake back and forth.

The barn door is a kind of hanging rail door, and some people even regard the hanging rail door directly as the barn door.

The barn door is supported by hanging wheels. There is no door frame, and the door and the wall are not fully attached. There will be a gap of about 1cm, so the sealing, sound insulation, and heat preservation will be poor. It is not recommended to use it in the bathroom unless it is a dry area.
